Student accommodation developer Alumno is working on bringing a new scheme to replace a former storage unit in Bermondsey.
The development at Alscot Road opposite Bermondsey Spa Gardens is still in the planning stages, and will house around 150 students.
The residence will include a large common room and a cinema space, and have a full-time management team based on the site.
To encourage sustainable travel Alumno will be working with Brompton Bike Hire scheme to include eight lockers holding cycles that can be hired by students and residents in the area.
Alumno will also engage with nearby schools to involve pupils in creative workshops, and will commission an artist to generate work related to the development.
