Homes for first-time buyers in Southwark are now available at a development in South Bermondsey.

Pocket Living's Varcoe Road scheme

Housing developer Pocket Living is offering 57 one-bedroom homes at its scheme in Varcoe Road, which is currently being transformed from a former car service station into a part six-storey, part eight-storey building.

The homes, which are due to be completed by winter this year, are available to first-time buyers who live or work in the borough, and the building also has 225sq m of commercial space.

Residents will have access to a range of facilities including a sun room, cycle storage, two landscaped communal roof terraces, and a co-working space.

This development also features two accessible homes that are fully-fitted for wheelchair users.

Pocket Living’s chief executive Marc Vlessing said: “We’re extremely excited to be delivering our first homes in Southwark. We already have over 1,400 people registered for a Pocket flat in Southwark. We want to help local people to get a foot on the housing ladder.”
