Labour maintained its majority in May's local council elections, holding 49 of the 63 seats on the council.

The ward of London Bridge and West Bermondsey's election was postponed, following the death of candidate Toby Eckersley, a former Conservative councillor.

That election took place on 14 June, where the Liberal Democrats won all three seats up for grabs, increasing its representation on the council from 13 to 14 seats.
